Come visit us at Kotohiki Beach on the Tango Peninsula—home of untouched, natural beauty that is uniquely Japanese.

Sightseeing

The Tango region of Kyoto is dotted with exciting tourist spots.
Our inn is 180 minutes away from Kyoto Station by train. Why don't you stop by after sightseeing in Kyoto? Just a five-minute walk away is Kotohiki Beach. With white sand and vibrant green pine trees, this picturesque scenery remains untouched by human hands and is sure to touch your heartstrings. Kotohiki Beach, known for the way its sand sings in the wind, is one of Japan's most famous beaches.
Here, you can also find a secret hot spring, where you can enjoy a free bath with a splendid view of the sea spread out before you.
What’s more, the surrounding area is home to a number of tourist spots that are not to be missed on a trip to Japan. Amanohashidate is one of the three most scenic places in Japan. The funaya boat houses in Ine are built right at the sea level. Kinosaki Onsen is one of the best hot spring locations in Japan with 1300 years of history. Izushi with its historic townscape has been nicknamed the Little Kyoto of Tajima. The Takeda Castle Ruins have been praised as the Machu Picchu of Japan for their magnificent views. Matsuba crabs

Matsuba crabs [Taiza-gani crabs]

Snow crab is a winter delicacy in Tango, Kyoto. Snow crabs that are brought to Taiza Port of Tango are called Taiza crabs, and these, in particular, are first-class in quality and taste. Among these crabs, those that are recognized to be of premium quality judging from their sizes and other factors are referred to as “rare Taiza crabs.” We have a variety of course meals featuring Taiza crab from November to March. Crab meat changes flavors and textures depending on how it is cooked. Enjoy authentic crab dishes at an auberge with a wonderful chef.
